Last year’s 335i was BMW 3 series’ frontrunner. However, just before 2016 kicked off, the car was replaced with the more powerful 340i. This year, big changes are coming as the company is now showcasing their BMW 4 series, with the 440i at the helm.

The BMW 440i has a 3-L engine with a 6-cylinder turbo petrol. For its transmission, it has an 8-speed auto and a rear wheel drive. The car is definitely powerful since it reaches up to 322 bhp or 450 Nm of torque and it can go from 0 to 62 mph in just five seconds flat. As for its top speed, it is electronically limited at 155 mph.

The model is definitely turbo-charged, but that does not mean that it can hardly be revved up. There is also ease and simplicity when the driver decides to overtake in-gear, and stretching it out will leave him much thrill. The sound that the car makes is music to the experienced motorist’s ears and it does not have too much power, enabling the driver to fully enjoy the experience before he gets too fast.

Performance-wise, 440i fares excellently as it has great handling. The steering has two modes, the ‘Comfort mode’ and the ‘Sports mode.’ The former makes steering lighter, while the latter makes it a tad heavier, giving the driver confidence on those sharp turns. Finally, no matter what road it runs on—whether paved or rough—the riders will always be greeted with comfort.
